So basically I just started my first FFN.net story. It's actually a re-post of a story I started but hated the prologue to. I made a different prologue and am waiting till I move to retype the first chapter. It's okay I guess. I actually had a good time writing the chapters.

It's called The Last Five Years.
Basically I'm a plot whore, so I'm taking the basic plot of the musical The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown (-swoon-) and making adjustments. It's a Sputchy story, and is rated for language mostly.
I might start writing stuff with my own plots, but my brain doesn't work like that.

Yes I realize this. But at the time I had been listening to Last 5 Years nonstop for several weeks and the idea just popped into my head at about 11 o'clock at night. It was just one of those spur of the moment things. Once I actually get my computer back I was planning on entering a contest.

I write mostly HP, but I have four newsies stories:
Choice and Reason
Racetrack has a difficult decision to make. Blink remembers why.
Everybody has a Newsies!BuroughWar fiction, and I wanted to write one of my own. Then I got to thinking about how Race always seems like a Brooklyn newsie in Manhattan, and how close he is to Spot, and just got this idea. How do you like it!?
Jake
It was as close as he could get to Jack without being obvious. Oneshot.
I've always loved Jake...there was something so innocent about him, and so pure. He was just the nice little forgotten newsie, who's happy even without a spotlight. So, I put my Jake!Muse to work and got this. It was meant to be a ficlet, but manifested itself into something a little bigger, and will possibly continue in the future.
Polly's Story
A story of social status, sexism, and everything else that affected New York during the Newsies' Strike.
I wanted to see if I could write an OFC without creating a Mary Sue. So far I think I've succeeded. The storyline has always been crawling around in my brain, and I finally wrote it down. I'll continue it soon, I promise - there's just some troubles going on with the plot pacing right now. Flashbacks may be a must, due to my own misconceptions.
Racism
A fight on New Year's Eve puts two Manhattan Newsies in danger on the first day of the new year. One Shot.
Just a little muse that needed a home. I tried to write it as tastefully as possible, while eliminating too much cheese. I've just always wondered what it would be like to be a minority in that era.

Hey I dunno if people still look at this but I'se gonna put my link anyway. ;D My name is Smiley and I have five stories.
1. Mush's Unexpected Journey: After an incident with Harlem newsies in the train station Mush is selling at, he finds himself in a frieght car on a one way trip to the Country Iowa to be exact. Will he be able to fit in in the country? Will he make it back to New York? This was my first fic so its okay but not my greatest work. Complete.
2. Someone to Look Up to: A Skittery and Tumbler fic. I don't feel like explaining everything but its really cute. It includes a wagon accident, a trip to England, a romance for Skitts and a new girlfriend for Tumbler. Almost done but still in progress.
3: A Traitor in Manhattan: The title basically explains it all. It's about a newsie from Harlem named Drifter who's assigned to do a little spying in Manhattan but also about his new friendship with the boys from Manhattan. Also in progress but half way through.
4: A Stranger on the Battlefield: When Spot reads a civil war book, he wakes up to find himself in the middle of a battlefield in the year of 1864. He makes new friends and gets himself a girl but will he ever get back to Brooklyn? Will he leave his girl behind? Read and review please! In progress but very far into it.
and last but not least....
My Refuge in the storm: Two girls meet in the refuge; one a girl from Scotland, the other a newsie from Harlem. Read to find out about their pasts, their friendship, and how they meet two handsome Manhattan Newsies. Just started and I am working on it with a friend of mine.
